What to do if your GFCI Trips

The GFCI on my electrical hook-up keeps tripping! What do I do? The good news is the GFCI is doing its job! The not-so-good news is that it can be frustrating. So, don't fret, we have a couple of basic things for you to try. For 110 Plug N Plays: Push the reset button on the plug. If it won’t reset or trips again, call us for service.

For 220V hookup: Check your breaker box. If the breaker is tripped, reset your breaker. If it won’t reset or trips again, call us for service. Please don't attempt this yourself. Be safe, not sorry! If your hot tub trips the GFCI regularly and won't stay in the 'on' position, don't delay in calling us for a service call. Waiting could make the problem worse and no one wants that to happen! Always remember, when in doubt, contact us!

Again, unless you are a licensed electrician, please do NOT work on any wiring. Our service crew understands the components of your hot tub and they will know when to call an electrician to help restore power to your hot tub. This is not intended to be a comprehensive diagnostic and repair guide nor can it be regarded as a maintenance guide. If you have questions about your Nordic Hot Tub, call us and request to speak with our Service Technician.
