Cartridge Filter FAQ
My pressure gauge is reading high?
When your pressure gauge is reading too high, you need to pressure wash and soak the cartridges in a cartridge filter cleaner (directions on container) for at least 24 hours. We can also pick up your cartridges for a cartridge cleaning (we will leave spares, if available).
How do I clean my Cartridges?
To clean your cartridges, you need to get a plastic trash barrel, fill it with water, and add a filter cleaner (read container for correct dosage). You will need to soak the cartridges for at least 24 hours, and then power washes them. Make sure you don’t put the power washer too close to the cartridges, as this may cause them to rip or tear. Cartridges will need to be cleaned daily when the pool has algae.
How long do Cartridges last?
Cartridges typically last 6-10 years.
